“Method of Producing Activated Carbon”
Issued January 12, 1999
|
| The is a method
patent for producing activated carbon comprising separating it
by filtration from a caustic silicate solution produced from
caustic digestion of rice hull ash. Commercialization is
underway at the AgriTecSorbents, LLC plant in Arkansas. |
|
U.S. Patent 6,114,280
“Highly Activated Carbon from Caustic Digestion of Rice Hull
Ash and Method”
Issued September 5, 2000
|
| This is a method
and product patent.
This technology provides a method for producing commercial
grade activated carbon products from the caustic digestion
of rice hull ash. Commercialization is underway at the
AgriTecSorbents, LLC plant in Arkansas. |
|
U.S. Patent 6,524,543
“Production of Soluble Silicates from Biogenic Silica”
Issued February 25, 2003
|
| This is a product
patent for the clear silicate solution produced by the method
of Patent 5,833,940 above. Commercialization is underway at
the AgriTecSorbents, LLC plant in Arkansas. |
|
U.S. Patent 6,375,735
“Precipitated Silicas, Silica Gels With and Free of Deposited
Carbon From Caustic Biomass Ash Solutions and Processes”
Issued April 23, 2003
|
| This is a method
patent which relates to precipitated silicas or silica gels,
wherein each silica type has adhered or deposited activated
carbon or is free of carbon, from a caustic biomass ash
solution.
This technology is being commercialized at the first plants
in Thailand. |
|
U.S. Patent 6,638,354
“Precipitated Silicas, Silica Gels With and Free of Deposited
Carbon From Caustic Biomass Ash Solutions and Processes”
Issued October 28, 2003
|
| This is a product
patent relating to the foregoing method patent 6,375,735. The
product claims are for a reaction product precipitate of
amorphous pyrolized biomass silica or silica gel wherein each
silica type has adhered or deposited amorphous carbon or is
free of carbon.
As stated above, this technology is being commercialized at
the first plants in Thailand. |
|
Foreign patent
applications for “Highly Activated Carbon” (U.S. 6,524,543) and
“Precipitated Silicas” (U.S. 6,375,735) have been filed in
